Why do I take photographs? Not an unusual question to be asked. It is not what I did most of my life - at least not with the intensity that I now devote to it. For me there is a relatively easy answer. I have a passion for the quest and exploring - the journey not the destination - more than possession. Photography is all about discovery and not at all about possession. The beauty that you see in a sunrise is gone in a matter of minutes never to be exactly repeated, and this is true in much of what I photograph.
